  • Design and Support—Robinson’s engineers have decades of combined experience designing a variety of process vessels, piping spools, skid base equipment, condensers, evaporators, and other mixing vessels. Prior to fabrication, we use the latest design software (Compress by Codeware, AutoCAD 2014, and SolidWorks) to produce and submit detailed prints based on your GA print and specs for you to review.
  • Project Management—We offer direct contact to your assigned project manger. For you, that means access to project statistics, engineering, quoting, and a 1-on-1 personal relationship with person dedicated to understanding the vital details of your project.
  • Quality Control—Our four AWS C.W.I.’s implement in-house and customer-required hold points and initiate in-process and final inspections, ensuring all codes are met or exceeded. We also work with third-party inspectors as required by stringent ASME Section VII Division 1 code.

Storage Vessels >

storageRobinson storage tanks meet exact specifications. Anything less is unacceptable. Tank options include low- or high-pressure, non-code or ASME, and carbon or stainless steel. With maximum dimensions of 12 feet in diameter and 40 feet long, and material options of carbon steel or stainless steel, Robinson is your one-stop source for large or small volume storage vessels.

Design support includes detailed CAD drawings and engineering expertise to build tanks in accordance with strict codes.

  • API (American Petroleum Institute)—Our experienced team understands the ins and outs of designing and fabricating to meet API standards. Whether the project is small or large, or requiring piping and mechanical equipment, Robinson has the expertise. API 650 Tanks are the standard for oil, gasoline, chemical, and produced water storage throughout the U.S. in refineries, terminals, pipelines, and production facilities. API 620 Tanks are large, welded steel, low-pressure tanks.
  • UL—The global independent safety science company is dedicated to promoting safe living and working environments, safeguarding people, products, and places in important ways, facilitating trade, and providing peace of mind.
  • ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers)—Robinson is an ASME-certified fabricator; U and S stamps. As with every fabrication, each ASME tank is built to meet your exact specifications/requirements and is guaranteed to comply with ASME code.

  • Conical—from eccentric designs to concentric designs, Robinson can bump or roll form material up to 3/4″ thick.
  • Stainless Steel—Vessels can be designed from various grades of Stainless Steel and Duplex Alloy’s to meet your project requirements. Robinson incorporates the necessary procedures to guarantee your projects are kept contaminate free.
  • Rubber-Lined—we work closely with liner and coating vendors to accomplish internal anti-corrosion systems that meet our customers requirements.

  • Jacketed—Robinson produces jacketed steel tanks with traditional double-wall jackets (sectioned into zones for more versatile heating or cooling flexibility) and dimpled jackets (an excellent and economical way to keep tank weight and wall thickness to a minimum).
  • Reactor—successful special project-type reactor vessels start with detailed design drawings; Robinson then manufactures parts to critical tolerances, incorporating jacket designs, sight windows, and mixer loads into the reactor vessel.

Inspection/Quality Assurance >

With the commitment to our ISO and ASME quality programs, Robinson delivers a wide range of inspections to meet your specific project requirements. We verify tolerances are met as well as in-process inspections to keep your project on track. With four AWS-Certified Weld Inspectors on staff, we can verify that stringent code requirements are met for AWS, ASME, B31.1, B31.3, API, and UL.

Along with dimensional and visual inspections, Robinson has qualified inspectors led by an ASNT Level II to offer Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Hydrostatic Pressure Testing, as well as having a close relationship with an outside ASNT Level III service to complete your X-RAY (RT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
